Chris Lynch Chris Lynch

Last updated on: January 7, 2010

With some authors, we can't wait for their next book to come out because we want more of what we've been getting all along. Fans of Chris Lynch are always anxious to see the next book because we know it will be a surprise. One of the most intelligent and creative voices in the business, this writer takes chances, tries new things, is not content to write only one kind of novel. And there's more than a 50-50 chance that the next one will be controversial. Not that Lynch intends to write controversial novels. He only intends to write honestly about teenagers trying to understand themselves and make sense of their immediate world. But a few adults feel that some scenes in Lynch's books are too graphic, some events too harsh for teenagers to handle. As a result, his supporters adore his books, while others do not give him the respect that the quality of his writing deserves. You have to decide for yourself.
