David Klass David Klass

Last updated on: October 16, 2009

If you examine David Klass's short stories and earlier novels for teens, you can easily conclude that he writes about athletes, though there's much more to those stories than sports. His award-winning California Blue, for example, is more about ecology and father-son relationships than it is about running. But then you discover that Screen Test isn't about sports at all, and You Don't Know Me is like nothing else he's ever written. An even more surprising discovery is that most of the time David Klass is a screen writer whose films are marked by intrigue and violence, including Desperate Measures, which starred Michael Keaton and Andy Garcia. There are obviously many facets to this gem of a writer.
