Margaret Peterson Haddix Margaret Peterson Haddix

Last updated on: January 29, 2010

Almost all of Margaret Peterson Haddix's novels have been designated a Best Book for Young Adults by the American Library Association, and four of those titles have been Quick Picks, with Among the Hidden voted one of the Top 10 Best Books of the year and one of the Top 10 Quick Picks as well. Not only is the quality of her novels first rate, but her topics and genres are widely varied: she has written a time-travel novel, two futuristic novels, a realistic novel about parental abandonment and abuse, another about religious extremists, and has told the story of Cinderella after she marries Prince Charming. This is a writer who can't be pigeon-holed.
