Rich Wallace Rich Wallace

Last updated on: August 16, 2010

Rich Wallace has been a sports reporter, a newspaper editor, and a senior editor at Highlights for Children, the most widely read kids' magazine in the world. Writing in what little spare time he could find, Wallace produced several well-crafted novels about high school athletes living in the small, fictional town of Sturbridge, Pennsylvania. No other author has done a better job of capturing the longing, the effort, or the feelings of teenage males, not just about sports but also about living life to the fullest in a town filled with limitations. Now writing full-time, he has been able to develop other projects, including the Winning Season series for middle grade readers.
